Frequently Asked Questions

Sound Therapy

What is sound therapy and how does it work?
Sound therapy uses instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, and chimes to create therapeutic vibrations. These sounds help shift your brainwaves into a meditative state, promoting deep relaxation and supporting your body’s natural healing processes. At Studio 366, our sound baths offer a tranquil environment for you to experience these benefits.

What should I expect during my first sound therapy session?
You’ll lie comfortably on a mat while our practitioner plays various instruments around you. Sessions last 60 minutes. Many people experience deep relaxation, emotional release, or even fall asleep. There’s no right or wrong way to experience it—just allow yourself to be present.

Do I need any experience or preparation for sound therapy?
No experience is necessary! Wear comfortable clothing and come with an open mind. We recommend avoiding heavy meals for 2 hours beforehand and staying hydrated. Please let us know about any health concerns when booking.

Are there any contraindications or health conditions where sound therapy may not be suitable?
Sound therapy is safe for most people, but please consult your healthcare provider before booking if any of the following apply to you:

  • Pregnancy: Especially during the first trimester.

  • Epilepsy: Sound therapy may trigger seizures in some individuals.

  • Pacemakers or Metal Implants: Vibrations may interfere with devices or cause discomfort.

  • Serious Mental Health Conditions: Such as untreated severe anxiety, psychosis, or schizophrenia.

  • Recent Surgery or Injury: Please check with your doctor first.

  • Sound Sensitivity or Hearing Conditions: Such as tinnitus or hyperacusis—let us know in advance so we can adapt your session.

If you’re unsure, please contact us at info@studio366.co.uk or call 07793 208395. Your wellbeing is our top priority, and we’re happy to discuss any concerns or adapt sessions as needed.

Meditation

I’m new to meditation—can I join?
Absolutely! Our sessions are beginner-friendly and provide gentle guidance in a supportive environment. Many clients start their meditation journey with us and find it easier than going solo.

How is group meditation different from meditating at home?
Group meditation offers collective energy, structure, and a distraction-free environment, making it easier to settle into practice and benefit from community support.

What types of meditation do you offer?
We offer mindfulness, guided visualizations, and movement-based practices like our Meditative Movement workshops—each nurturing mind, body, and spirit.

General Wellness

How do your services work together for holistic wellness?
Our offerings complement each other—sound therapy and meditation calm the mind, while yoga, Pilates, and Qigong strengthen the body. This integrated approach supports your overall wellbeing.

How often should I attend to see benefits?
Benefits can be felt after one session, but regular attendance (weekly is ideal) helps deepen relaxation and resilience over time.

What makes Studio 366 different?
We’re a true sanctuary for holistic wellness in Surrey, offering expert guidance, a tranquil space, and a welcoming community—all under one roof.
